🇦🇺Save Australia Day 🇦🇺

Australia Day is the day we celebrate who we are — a free, proud, successful nation built by millions of Australians from every background.

It’s the day thousands become citizens and the whole country comes together.

But a loud activist minority wants to tear it down.

They want to change the date, rewrite our history, and shame Australians for loving their own country.

And far too many politicians are rolling over instead of standing up.

Australians deserve better.

Most of us want to keep Australia Day right where it is.

Most of us are proud of our history, our achievements, and our shared story.

And most of us are sick of seeing national traditions sacrificed to keep activists happy.

If we stay silent, they’ll keep pushing until our national day becomes just another political battleground.

It’s time to push back.

We, the undersigned citizens of the Commonwealth of Australia, respectfully call on the Parliament to protect Australia Day and uphold 26 January as our national day of unity, citizenship, and celebration.

Across the country, a loud activist minority is working to delegitimise Australia Day, rewrite key parts of our national story, and pressure governments and institutions to change the date.

We therefore call on the Parliament to:

  1. Protect Australia Day and reaffirm 26 January as Australia’s national day;
  2. Ensure that citizenship ceremonies continue to be held on Australia Day; and
  3. Reject activist-driven attempts to rewrite, diminish, or replace our national traditions.

Australia is a nation worth celebrating proudly and unapologetically.

We call on our elected representatives to stand up for the values, history, and identity that unite us.

We say: Protect Australia Day.
Stand up for our national identity.
Australia Day stays.
